विकिमिडिया फाउन्डेसन न्यासी समितिले सन् २०२१ फेब्रुअरी १ देखि मार्च १ सम्म सामुदायिक चयन प्रक्रियाहरूको बारेमा प्रतिक्रियाको लागि बैठकको आयोजना गरिरहेको छ। विकिमिडिया फाउन्डेसन र विकिमिडिया अभियान विगत १० बर्षमा लगभग पाँच गुणाले वृद्धि भएको छ भने यसको समितिको संरचना र प्रक्रियाहरू मूल रूपमा उस्तै रहिरहेको छ। वर्तमान समितिको संरचनामा हाम्रो क्षमता, प्रदर्शन, र अभियानको विविधता अनुसार प्रतिनिधित्वको अभाव एउटा समस्याको रूपमा रहेको छ। प्रत्यक्ष निर्वाचनले गर्दा अग्रणी भाषा समुदायका उम्मेदवारहरूको पक्ष लिने गरेको छ र उनीहरूको सीप र अनुभवद्वारा समिति सदस्यको रूपमा सेवा दिन कतिको सान्दर्भिक हुन सक्छ वा समितिको विशिष्ट उत्तरदायित्वहरू निर्वाह गर्ने क्षमतामा योगदान पुर्‍याइरहेको छ। तथ्यहरूलाई नियाल्दा वर्तमान प्रक्रियाहरूले उत्तर अमेरिका र पश्चिम युरोपका स्वयंसेवकहरूको पक्ष लिएको छ। वास्तवमा भन्ने हो भने, दक्षिण एसियाबाट अहिलेसम्मको इतिहासमा हेर्दा जम्मा एक जना सदस्यले मात्र समितिमा स्थान बनाउन सकेको छ।
 
आउँदो महिनाहरूमा हामीलाई तीन सामुदायिक सिटहरू नवीकरण गर्नुपर्नेछ र नयाँ सिटमा तीन थप समुदायिक सदस्यहरू नियुक्त गर्नुपर्नेछ। यो प्रतिक्रियात्मक बैठकमा हामीहरू सबै मिलेर हाम्रो अभियानलाई कसरी प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने र अनुभव, सीप, र विश्वासका साथ अन्तरदृष्टिसहित तैयार भएका उम्मेदवारहरू छनौट गर्न प्रारूप रेखा तयार गर्न सक्छौं? यस सम्बन्धमा, प्रस्तावित विचारहरूमाथि छलफल गर्न र हामी हाम्रो विचारहरू साझा गर्न, प्रतिक्रिया दिन र प्रक्रियामा योगदान दिनको लागि सामुदायिक छलफल गर्नु राम्रो हुनेछ। यसै विषयमा छलफल गर्न, हामीले यही मार्च १३ को साँझ ७ बजे देखि ८ बजेसम्म बैठक आयोजित भइरहेको छ। बैठकको कडी निम्नलिखित रहेको छ:

Members of the Wikimedia community have the opportunity to elect four candidates to a three-year term.
