Diwakar Uprety

Diwakar Uprety (Nepali : दिवाकर उप्रेती) is a Nepalese youth activist and freelancer. He is a founder at Kayapalat, a non-governmental organization. He is also associated with Restless Development International UK as Director/Trustee and Youth Advocay Nepal as Board Member. Earlier, He started his journey as child right activist at the age of 14 years old. He himself established Ekikrit Child Club at Janakpurdham, Madhesh Province to do the advocacy and lobby on child protection and raise the awareness on child marriage. He was able to stop a dozen child marriage at Janakpur in coordination with child welfare council and District Police Office Dhanusha.
