The AFD help box (as you see on the right) is automatically shown on all AfD pages (starting 1 June 2018) to give primer links so newcomers can get around the Articles for Deletion process more easily. (Technically, the help box is transcluded on the AFD page when {{Afd2}} is substituted.) The box will only show on individual AFD discussion pages, not the daily pages.

You can, however, manually add {{AFD help}} wherever else you want (e.g. a user's talk page).

If you do not wish to see the AFD help box, you can permanently hide it by adding .afd-help-box { display: none !important; } to your Special:Mypage/common.css like this (or to the .css page of whatever Wikipedia skin you are using at Special:Mypage/skin.css). You may need to create the page if you don't already use a custom .css page. You will need to bypass your browser's cache for the changes to take effect.

Note that this will only hide the box from AFD pages. The box will still display it if it's been posted elsewhere (e.g. on a user's talk page), or if it appears in a discussion about the template like this one.

This option is only available to logged-in users.

The box is known to break for mobile devices with small screens. To remedy this

.afd-help-box { width: 100% !important; }

can be added to this page.
