English: The Thrickodithanam Mahavishnu Temple is an 11th-century Hindu temple in Changanassery, Kerala. It has been targeted for desecration and rebuilt over the centuries. The temple complex is considered a Divyadesam (Divya Kshetram) and associated with multiple legends, including those of Mahabharata Pandava brothers, Krishna and Narasimha. This Kerala temple finds mention as one of nine sacred Vaishnava tirtha sites in the Tamil literature.
The Thrikkodithanam Maha Vishnu Temple vimana has a dvitala circular floor plan. It includes Ganesha, Dakshinamurthy and Devi artwork – thus celebrating all the major historic Hindu traditions. The temple complex has many Vattezhuthu inscriptions attesting to its popularity and reverence over about 1000 years. The vimana also has some beautiful murals depicting scenes from the Hindu epics.
