'''आन्ध्र महासागर''' वा '''अटलांटिक महासागर''' विशाल जलराशिको नाम हो जो [[युरोप|यूरोप]] तथा [[अफ्रीका|अफ्रिका]] महादेशहरुको नयाँ संसारका महादेशहरुदेखि पृथक गर्छ । [[क्षेत्रफल]] र विस्तारमा संसारको दोस्रो ठुलो महासागर हो जसले [[पृथ्वी]] को १/५ क्षेत्र ओगटेको छ । यस महासागरको नाम [[ग्रीक भाषा|ग्रीक]] संस्कृतिबाट लिइएको छ जसमा यसलाई ''नक्शाको समुद्र'' पनि भनिन्छ । यस महासागरको आकार लगभग अङ्ग्रेजी अक्षर '''८''' को जस्तो छ । लम्बाईको अपेक्षा यसको चौडाई धेरै कम रहेको छ । [[आर्कटिक सागर]], जो बेरिङ्ग जलडमरूमध्यबाट [[उत्तरी ध्रुव]] हुँदै स्पिट्सबर्जेन र [[ग्रीनल्याण्ड]]सम्म फैलिएको छ, मुख्यतः आन्ध्रमहासागरको नैं अङ्ग हो । यस प्रकार उत्तरमा बेरिङ्ग जल-डमरूमध्यबाट लिएर दक्षिणमा कोट्सलैंडसम्म यसको लंबाई १२,८१० माईल छ । यस्तै प्रकार दक्षिणमा दक्षिणी [[जर्जिया (स्पष्टता)|जर्जिया]]को दक्षिण स्थित वैडल सागर पनि यसै महासागरको अङ्ग हो । यसको क्षेत्रफल यस अन्तर्गतका समुद्रहरुसहित ४,१०,८१,०४० वर्ग माईल छ । यस अन्तर्गत समुद्रहरुलाई छोडेर यसको क्षेत्रफल ३,१८,१४,६४० वर्ग माईल छ । यो एउटा विशाल महासागर नै हो जसको अधीन विश्वको सबभन्दा ठूलो जलप्रवाह क्षेत्र रहेको छ । उत्तरी आन्द्रामहासागरको पृष्ठतलको लवणता अन्य समुद्रहरुको तुलनामा पर्याप्त रहेको छ । यसको अधिकतम मात्रा ३.७ प्रतिशत छ जो २०°- ३०° उत्तर अक्षांशहरुको बिचमा विद्यमान छ । यस महासागरको अन्य भागहरुमा लवणता अपेक्षाकृत कम रहेको छ ।
